POSITION TITLE: Senior Research Scientist II

POSITION DUTIES: 

● Support biotech and pharmaceutical clients by designing customized experiments based on their scientific goals for drug discovery and development programs. 

● Independently Perform LC-MS method development by reviewing scientific literature, designing experimental approaches, executing method development plans, and adjusting strategies 

● Conduct advanced discovery bioanalytical analyses with minimal supervision, performing complex assays such as protein intact analysis, drug-to-antibody ratio (DAR) analysis, and Antibody-Drug Conjugate (ADC) analysis using high-resolution mass spectrometry. 

● Independently troubleshoot and maintain sophisticated analytical instruments, including UHPLC and mass spectrometry systems, performing diagnostics, cleaning, calibration, and coordinating with technical support and service engineers. 

● Represent the company at industry meetings and client visits, preparing and presenting scientific posters and presentations, communicating experimental results and study progress, and serving as a technical liaison with clients and external engineers. 

● Assist in training scientists at all department levels by instructing team members on advanced LC-MS systems, analytical software platforms, and assay optimization strategies. 

● Perform complex bioanalytical extraction and analysis for discovery and validation projects, including protein extraction, stability studies, metabolite identification, peptide mapping, and biomarker analysis. 

● Lead projects and provide scientific and operational oversight–serve as a project lead by managing bioanalytical studies from initiation through completion, including planning timelines, coordinating resources, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring project milestones are met. 

REQUIREMENTS: 
● Master’s Degree in Biology, Biotechnology or a related field. 
● 60 months of related work experience in Biology, Biotechnology or a related Industry.

● Experience in using Watson LIMS , Sciex Analyst and OS software, Thermo Xcalibur and BioPharma Finder software. 

● Experienced in Sciex and Thermo Triple Quadrupole and High Solution Mass Spec. 

● Experienced in small molecule, peptide, protein, oligo, and ADC bioanalysis.

● Supervises the work of 19-4021.00: Biological Technicians. 

RATE OF PAY: $109,533 per year
